We have been busy gathering resources to help you. We are excited to announce that we have almost finalized an incredibly low-cost, high-quality curriculum for individuals thinking of microschooling. Of course, you can always use whatever curriculum you choose and we will help you with your choices.

This curriculum comes from our summer school partner, developed by a national team of top experts. Perhaps one of the most exciting features is that it will come with professional development for each microschooling teacher. For those that are considering microschooling but have never been a classroom teacher, this is really an excellent opportunity to get additional support and guidance.

Are you considering microschooling?  Let us know how we can help, and keep your questions coming. We work with a variety of schools, especially exemplary private and charter, and we love the schools we work with and would be happy to connect you with these schools. We are collaborating with a variety of people in the community to create this network of microschooling opportunities to meet this very real new demand we are hearing.

Each newsletter we highlight microschools around the country we think offer examples Nevadans will find interesting.

Prenda, one of our Nevada microschooling partners, located in Arizona, lists this as their mission and philosophy, “We believe that every human is a natural born learner, explorer, wonderer, and scientist. Our aim is to protect and nurture the natural human desire to learn, progress, and grow. Learners make a choice to see themselves and the world around them in a different way. They know education is not something that happens to you as you sit through a course; it’s a posture, a way of engaging with the world, and it lasts well beyond graduation. Learners know how to learn. They set goals, hold themselves accountable, persist in the face of obstacles, collaborate with others, and develop their unique gifts as they make their dent in the universe. Our role as adults is to set an example of life long learning, provide access to learning tools and experiences, and then get out of the way.”

The Village School in Virginia is focused on providing students small, multi-age collaborative groups that is character-based and experience driven.

Join our Zoom calls this week to connect with more microschooling families!
